Here is our new little boy! He is doing very well. He is breathing on his own, and barring any unexpected complications, it looks like he’ll be staying here in Marshall. The doctor doesn’t want him disturbed at all, so that means no feeding, no holding, and no weighing. So we have no idea how big he is but the nurses are guessing pretty close to 6 pounds.
The delivery was harder on me than I expected. I did get an epidural. I had a very rough night last night and a rough day today. I had some stadol that knocked me out but made me throw up as soon as it wore off. I then had my epidural which was great. I had a lot of nausea and vomitting today. I am doing much better but as usual I try to do too much and get tired. It took me 3 hours before I felt strong enough to get out of bed and go see him. I am getting tired now, so I’m going to sign off. I will update tomorow, hopefully with some weights and lengths and more pictures.
